Well, it looks like Facebook is being a giant PITA right now, and I cannot post the picture to have this contest with, so, we are changing it up.

The contest is going to take place here on our blog instead, and because it is slightly a bigger PITA to have the contest here, everyone who posts in the contest will get a online coupon good for 20% off the Blackburn Fleas or Scorch.

Here is the contest:

Guess the weight of Brandon, Llama, and this Trek Stache 7 to win a Blackburn Scorch! We are rounding to the nearest pound. Hint: between 300-400 pounds. Guess as much as you want, I will add more hints through out the game. First to get it right, wins the light. (Everyone else, gets a 20% off coupon code.)  Ready... begin.

10 Tune Ups to the First 10 to Get 100 Likes

Village Cycle Center is giving away 10 free tune-ups to the first 10 people to get 100 likes on a picture of their bike that is deserving of a tune-up.

Post a picture of your ride to our Facebook page.
Get 100 likes on your picture.
Win a tune up!

It is just that simple.

The tune-up includes:

• Adjust shifting systems (front and rear derailleurs)
• Adjust braking systems (front and rear brakes)
• True wheels (tighten spokes and align wheel)
• Tighten cranks, pedals, headset, and other parts that like to loosen up
• Lube drive train
• Inflate tires with air
• Wipe down bike

If your bike requires more, you can upgrade to our other packages for:
Annual Peak Performance - $60
Complete Mechanical Overhaul - $150



Helpful hints:

1. Share your picture.
2. Ask your friends to like the picture, but tell them why first.
3. Have your friends share the picture as well.

Rules of the contest:

1. We make the laws of the contest rules. If you don't dig them, don't play.
2. All decisions are made by us. Sometimes mistakes happen, if they do, we can decide to fix them or not.
3. If you are not at least 18, you can not win. Do not even try and play. Sorry. Get your mom or dad to post the picture.
4. The tune-ups must be used by March 31st, 2013.
5. No cash value to the winnings.
6. Non transferable. 
7. Tacos rule.
8. If 10 people have not won by Jan 31st 2013, the contest will end either way.

Contest details and rules:

• (1) ticket per every $50 (fifty dollars) spent at Village Cycle Center on Gore Bike Wear products. The total spend does not include tax.
• All tickets that go into the drawing, stay in the drawing until it is picked or the raffle is over. The ticket bucket will not be emptied after each weeks drawing.
• Each winner has 30 days to claim their winnings. After 30 days, unclaimed winnings get donated to West Town Bikes youth programs. They thank you up front for not picking up your booty.
• When it comes to this contest, this contest is Barter Town, and we are Master Blaster, and Master Blaster runs Barter Town. If you don't like it raggity man, hit the road. 
• Gore Bike Wear is the bomb and and a pretty sweet company to be doing this, give them some love and check out their Facebook page or follow their Tweets. You could also send them an email and tell them they need a brand page for Gore Bike Wear.

L.A.T.E. Ride VIP Pass Facebook Cover Contest

It is time for another round of The L.A.T.E. Ride VIP pass contest.
For the second edition to our contest, you will need to design a Facebook cover over for our Village Cycle Center Facebook page.
Your cover design needs to incorporate Village Cycle Center, The L.A.T.E. Ride, and Chicago. Submitted covers will be voted on by our staff on Wednesday May 23rd at noon.Winner gets VIP passes to the L.A.T.E. Ride and their cover on our page for a month.

Rules and regulations:

Submitted Facebook Cover images must be 851x314 in .gif or .jpg format. No animated gif files.
Cover must incorporate Village Cycle Center, The L.A.T.E. Ride, and Chicago.
No profanity or nudity.
To submit a cover image, post it to our Facebook page by 5.23.12 at noon.
Covers will be voted on by our staff. Each staff member will rate submitted covers on a scale of 1-10, the cover with the most points wins. In event of a tie, we will have the two covers voted on via our Facebook page.
Village Cycle Center has the final say so in every decision. Submitting a cover to the contest gives us the rights to use the image in any marketing, advertising, or promotions.
Previous L.A.T.E. Ride VIP pass winners are not eligible to win.

2012 Lifetime Chicago Triathlon Comp Entry Contest

It is that time of year again.

Time to run, bike, and swim your butt off that is.

Village Cycle Center is once again a proud sponsor of the Lifetime Chicago Triathlon, and to celebrate, we are giving away 6 comp entries to the races, 2 for each race, International, Sprint, and Kids.


What you have to do to win is:

2. In the photo description let us know which race you would like to win an entry for.
3. Get your friends to like your picture.
4. The pictures with the most likes at the end of the contest wins.
